HOLLOWSHOT

We started as most people by loving the breed and wishing to own these smart dogs.  However being Border Collies they have a habit of growing on you.

 

Hollowshot Border Collies is a kennel established in 1968 producing Border Collies now located in Hastings, Ontario but started in England. 

 

Seven of my dogs flew from England with me when I came to Canada. I have produced border collies that have excelled in Agility, Obedience, Showing and Herding, with a focus on temperament, conformation, and structural soundness.

 

My first Border was a working dog and my second was from show lines. They had just become registered in England with the Kennel Club and her name was Bess born in 1983 and she was by the first Border Collie show champion Tilehouse Cassius Of Beagold. Some of my lines still go back to her.

 

The Hollowshot Border Collie is bred for their versatility. They can be found competing in agility, flyball, dock diving, working as service dogs as well as taking part in obedience, conformation shows , herding trials and we can't forget the pets home.

 

Our Breeds are from some of the top English and New Zealand/Australian lines which incorporates the BEST qualities from both working blood lines as well as show lines. We need to retain the quality that the shepherds left us with.

 

So, with these goals in mind we select our breeding dogs that work sheep, are capable of winning in the show-ring, and have a sound temperament to live in a family environment.
